Film & Stage Design - Costume, Hair & Makeup

Miriam Waldenspuhl was born in 1990 in Freiburg. She began her professional career with a hairdressing traineeship. During her study history of art at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg, she worked as an intern in the Wig and Makeup department in various theaters and shops: Stadttheater Freiburg, Die Staatstheater Stuttgart acting, opera and ballet, Georg Korpás Make-up & Prosthetics in Munich. In March 2017, she successfully completed her studies WIGS, MAKE-UP AND SPECIAL MAKE-UP EFFECTS FOR STAGE AND SCREEN (BA) at the Theater Academy August Everding in Munich. In May 2020, she graduated in DESIGN FOR STAGE AND FILM (MFA) at the NYU – Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, USA. On the side she works internationally as a freelance artist in various projects such as the Festival d’Aix en Provence, the Bayreuth Festival, the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Theater Münster, the Stadttheater Osnabrück, the Stadttheater Ingolstadt, the Staatstheater Saarbrücken several NYU Film productions, in collaboration with ARTE, SWR, BR, Wilma Film, Lieblingsfilm, MackNeXT, kalekone film and Maverick Film. Since November 2021 she works as an adjunct faculty at the Theater Academy August Everding in Munich.
